Nicola Cattle, pictured at left, is an esthetician and owner of Nicola of London, a Skin and Body Care Clinic in McLean, Virginia. Originally from England, Ms. Cattle is a CIDESCO Diplomat — the highest qualification worldwide in the field of esthetics.
After training at Champney's College of Health and Beauty outside of London, Nicola spent 18 months working as a face and body therapist at Champney's Resort in Hertfordshire, England. From there, she went to work with a dermatologist in private practice on Harley Street in London. She spent four years working with the dermatologist as well as with a plastic surgeon combining esthetic treatments with traditional dermatological treatments to provide advanced care to patients. It was here that Nicola gained extensive experience working with severe acne conditions.
In 1980, Nicola moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a senior esthetician in a full-service salon. From there she went on to manage a skin care salon at Ganelle in McLean. She opened Nicola of London in 1987.
Nicola has also served on the Board of International Estheticians Symposiums and has had articles published in national industry publications. She frequently speaks to major corporations including J.C.Penney and Color Me Beautiful regarding glycolic acid formulations and cosmetic ingredient combintions.
Carole Butler joined Nicola of London in March of 2001 as a Salon Coordinator. She grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. Carole married in 1978 and left the area till 1991 when she and her family moved to Fairfax, Virginia. Originally educated in Dental Technology she moved into banking and spent five years managing at a credit union in California. Carole also spent two years as a cosmetic consultant which she enjoyed immensely. Carole moved to Lexington Massachusets in 1986 for her husband to pursue his masters at Harvard. She has spent the last 25 years raising their five children.
Carole has always enjoyed staying active and fit. She is an avid power walker and loves to bike. Nicola of London is a natural fit for Carole. As she has matured Carole appreciates the value of Nicola of London’s Anti- aging treatments which help maintain her youthful appearance. She enjoys helping people be the best they can be. She has total commitment to all the clients at Nicola of London to make sure all their needs are met and exceeded.
Along with her dedication to staying active and fit, Carole loves spending time with her kids, either playing games or reading. She is also a passionate Scrabble player and enjoys crossword puzzles.
Claude Nasr was born in Lebanon and lived there until age 22. She attended the Milo Institute in Lebanon where she graduated in 1995. Claude then worked as an esthetician for a year specializing in European facials, professional make-up, electrolysis and massage therapy. She learned lymphatic drainage techniques and slimming treatments.
Claude later opened her own skin care clinic in 1997 in Lebanon. She managed her time between her spa and marketing for Tamer Group which is a cosmetic company, for three years.
In 2000 Claude married and moved with her husband to the United States. She joined Nicola of London in February of 2002. She really enjoys working with pre and post surgical patients which allows her to utilize her specialization in lymph drainage. Claude is excited about helping people achieve the skin care results they desire. This is one reason that Claude likes working with the Slimline machine which tones muscles creating a firm and lifted appearance and increases lymph drainage.
Claude is continuing her education by participating in classes to learn the latest beauty techniques, such as treatments for Rosacea and new peel techniques. Claude in very interested in the theater and does artistic make-up as a hobby. She looks forward to meeting youand discussing your skin care concerns so that she can work out the best treatment plans possible.
Lauren Steininger is a clinical esthetician trained in the United States. She is an American citizen, born and raised in the Middle East where she was inspired by the art of European skin care technique. In August of 1999, she moved to the US and began her certification program through Yvonne de Villar Scientific skin care school in Vienna, Virginia.
After completing her program, Lauren joined Nicola of London in May 2001 to pursue her European skin care training, mentored by Nicola Cattle CIDESCO. After 3 years of extensive training, she relocated to Pompano Beach, FL to study medical skin care at Florida College of Natural Health. She gained her Associate Degree in Para-medical skin care and polished her knowledge in skin care physiology.
Lauren joined a private Dermatological Laser Surgery practice in Washington DC weeks after completing her program. She used her experience and education assisting in hands-on training with the latest laser procedures as well as observing general dermatology and medicine. She has extensive training in the medical field with thorough knowledge in lasers, fillers and clinical cosmetic procedures. Lauren has been trained and certified in pharmaceutical grade chemical peels with experience working in a medical spa environment.
In January 2008, Lauren was excited to return to Nicola of London incorporating modern clinical expertise together with European skin care technique. She enjoys working with clients troubled with pigmentation, scarring, and acne related concerns and believes education is the first tool in helping clients achieve their results. She has the ability to give clients the education needed to make wise decisions in today’s complicated world of cosmetic procedures and spa treatment.
